Typically built in the 16th-17th centuries, the splendid Renaissance castles along the heritage site of the Loire Valley west of Paris are very popular with visitors, and are among the most beautiful castles in France.

Many lack a defensive function, or have incorporated earlier fortifications into a 'residential' type castle, with the focus on luxury, grandeur and carefully manicured French style gardens, such as Villandry.
 
In my opinion this castle has the most beautiful gardens in the whole of France. People really do come from all over the world to see these world famous gardens. What do you think about them?
Would you travel half way across the world to see one of the most famous gardens?
Well I guess the 3.8 million people that visit the gardens each year would say so.
 
Hey guys, I would like to get your opinions on some things. What do you think about Chateau de Chambord. I guess there is alot of conflict with the looks and design of this castle. Many people think that the turrets and chimneys make the castle look hideous, however I think that they add alot of character and style to the design of the castle.

Many people of different views and opinions of architecture, and these views are of course varied. In my opinion, my favourite castles are that which show an immaculate picture of symmetry, harmony like Château de Cheverny.
 
So this website will give you all the information on some of the most famous French Castles in France. I have travelled to many places around the world however have never been to France. Most of my family have been before and I have seen photos of their fabulous trips.
So I guess your wondering which is my favourite castle. Well its hard to say, for instance Chambord's size and magnitude is overwhelming however the immaculate picture of symmetry at the Chateau de Cheverny.
